Mal Medicus
Lead Paramedic · Self-Proclaimed EMS God
Sarcastic. Confident. Occasionally right. Mal is the paramedic who has seen everything and has an opinion about all of it. Behind the attitude is a provider who genuinely cares about the profession — he just shows it through relentless mockery and uncomfortably accurate observations.
Mal is the voice of Black Flag EMS across social media — EMS commentary, pharmacology roasts, and the occasional reluctant product mention.

Max
Paramedic · The Brains of the Outfit
Max is the professional counterweight to Mal's chaos. Younger, disciplined, and exceptionally talented. She represents the new generation of EMS — evidence-based, tech-savvy, and unwilling to accept "we've always done it this way."
Where Mal is instinct, Max is preparation. Where Mal is sarcasm, Max is precision. Together they're the partnership every EMS provider has experienced.

Maddie
K9 Medic - Wise Soul - Silent Judge
Maddie is the Black German Shepherd who lives at the station and is smarter than most of the crew. She sees everything and judges accordingly.
Maddie is also the namesake of the Nexus platform's voice-activated AI clinical assistant — Maddie PRO. Because who better to guide you through a protocol than the one team member who never panics?
